"You are who God says you are — not who the hard days attempt to convince you that you are."
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
Colossians 2:6-7
About This Pillar:
In the chaos of post-adoption parenting, it is easy to lose yourself. You might start defining your worth by your child's behavior, the court's decisions, or the opinions of others. But your identity was established long before the adoption paperwork was signed. You are a daughter of God, rooted in His love, not in your performance.
This pillar is about de-shaming the survival responses that kick in when you feel threatened, and remembering that your calling flows from Whose you are and who you are made to be, not from what you do. When you are anchored in your true identity, the storms of parenting lose their power to define you.
